This coffee table is solid walnut inlaid with nails of various diameters. The pattern decorates both the top and the edges of the table top. The top is a sturdy 1 1/2" thick. The dimensions are 29" x 39" x 16"H. All work is done by hand (no robot drilling nail holes) by the maker Peter Sandback. Custom sizes are available and welcomed.

Peter (b. Brooklyn, NY 1966) is a photographer and furniture maker based in southern New Hampshire. He earned his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1992. For over 25 years, he has built a career as a professional furniture maker, known for his thoughtful craftsmanship and design. Alongside this practice, Peter has steadily returned to his first vocation as an artist. His current photographic work focuses on natural history museums—spaces where science, wonder and death intersect.

Peter received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1992
