The work begins with a digitally manipulated face, partially obscured and interrupted, suggesting the unstable nature of memory and identity. The image is then translated into paper and reconstructed through a concertina structure, where repeated folds create rhythm, depth and shifting perspectives.</p><p style="white-space:pre-wrap;" data-rte-preserve-empty="true"></p><p style="white-space:pre-wrap;" data-rte-preserve-empty="true">Made from recycled printed paper, the work sits between collage, sculpture and image-making. As the viewer moves around it, the portrait appears to change, emerging and disappearing through the folds.
