Located in the heart of downtown Mystic, Connecticut… The Shipwright’s Daughter is the newest addition to the town’s thriving culinary community. Celebrating New England’s fresh & flavorful food heritage, Executive Chef David Standridge introduces an inspired menu that changes daily, reflecting the unique character of coastal Connecticut. This newest project required us to carefully renovate a very old existing space. Our goal was to rethink “vintage nautical” and present it with a fresh modern twist. Blue velvet upholstery, custom crisp white tile with pops of color, reclaimed oak flooring, and brass accents create an upscale but comfortable space that seamlessly transitions from a hotel guest’s early-morning breakfast to a food snob’s late-night nosh.
